I'm currently hosting in person sewing classes where I help students one on one.
These lessons are for dressmaking only, no other project types will be considered

How much Does it Cost?
Basic lessons are $50 per hour
Corset Making classes are $75-$100 per hour
Are materials including?
Students are responsible for their own materials, such as the fabrics and notions for their project. A basic sewing kit and a sewing machine is preferred, but students will have access to a sewing machine and supplies during class time.

Introduction Dressmaking Course Description
If you have ever wanted to learn the basics of dressmaking to kickstart your creations, this is the course for you! This is a well rounded course that covers the origins of dressmaking, fashion illustration to the complete construction of your very own dress!
Learn the skills for basic dressmaking, including; how to apply horsehair braid, an invisible zipper and more!
This course works for beginners who have play around with their sewing machine but feel intimidated by the prospect of actually making a dress. This also works for intermediate to seasoned sewist ready to start their journey to dressmaking. Keep reading to see what the course includes/covers.
Intro to Dressmaking
DAY 1:
Review the syllabus and summary of the class
DAY 2:
History of Dressmaking
( Each day comes with an overview and purpose of what the day is going to cover, so you know what you need and what to expect prior to the start of that day)

DAY 4
Know Your Tools
Images, descriptions of and how to use; Basic Sewing kit, cutting tools, shears, measuring tools and marking aids, needles and pins, pressing aids, sewing machine, taking measurements, and other useful extras. (Most if not all the days include, several forms of instructions which includes, videos, worksheets, templates, playlist, diagrams and more)
DAY 5:
Fabrics
Complete breakdown of the types of fabrics involved in sewing formal dresses, full color images with descriptions on their content and tips on how to use them, including interfacing. Videos discussing grainlines and how to create a fabric sample book. I also supply a download of some of my favorite places to purchase fabrics on online.
DAY 6;
Patterns
We will go over how to read store bought and digital patterns, the best printing methods, pattern layout and marking tips to ensure your dresses are always off to the right start!
DAY 7:
Making the dress
Will will go through step by step on how create a simple and elegant trapeze dress.
DAY 8:
Refining Techniques
Here you will learn those techniques that will take your designs from "homemade" to "handmade". I'll teach you how add horse hair braid to your hem, attach an invisible zipper and other finishes, to elevate your design.
